Vehicles

Car: From Ho Chi Minh City, you can buy tickets at the Western bus station or private car companies on Le Hong Phong street, costing about 170,000 – 200,000 VND.

Motorbike: Chau Doc – An Giang is about 250 km from Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can ride a motorbike for convenient sightseeing.

Hotels and motels in An Giang are mainly concentrated in Sam Mountain, Chau Doc and Long Xuyen market areas.

Visiting sites

Tra Su cajuput forest: you should go early in the morning to see duckweed.

The entrance ticket is 60,000 VND per person with a boat carrying 4 people. You take the motorboat first, then are transferred to a rowing boat.

Ta Pa Lake is located in Nui To commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang province.

Sam Mountain: On the way to Tra Su, you will pass by the Sam mountain cluster.

Ta Pa Lake: A lake formed by stone mining, the water is clear, underneath is a layer of moss so the lake always looks green.

Cam Mountain: Entrance fee is 20,000 VND per person. To enter a section, you will have to park your car and hire a motorbike taxi to visit the mountain’s attractions.

Bung Binh Thien: about 30 km from Chau Doc.

In the evening in Chau Doc, try riding a buggy and taking a tour around.

Eat and drink

An Giang is famous for its fish sauce noodle dish, you should try it so you don’t miss out on this region’s specialties.

At Chau Doc market, there are many snacks that you should try such as cakes, sweet soup, beef ball soup, climbing beef, jaggery… Prices here range from 20,000 to 35,000 VND per dish.

Linh fish, snakehead fish, and Sesbania flower soup are also delicious dishes in Bung Binh Thien during the flood season.
