In a document sent to the Prime Minister, ministries, branches and provinces and cities, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong said that the complicated epidemic situation has caused many difficulties in consuming agricultural products in the province.

The circulation and transportation of Bac Giang’s agricultural products through provinces, cities, and border gates is also congested.

To ensure `both epidemic prevention and economic development`, Bac Giang province requested localities to allow vehicles transporting Bac Giang’s agricultural products and essential goods to trade through border gates as well as to circulate.

Bac Giang is a midland and mountainous province, with nearly 80% of the population living in rural areas and agricultural production.

In particular, this province begins harvesting early ripe lychees from tomorrow (May 20) to June 10 and main lychee harvest from June 10 to July 20.

By noon on May 19, Bac Giang recorded 527 positive Covid-19 cases, mostly in two outbreaks: Hosiden Company (Quang Chau Industrial Park) and Shin Young Company (Van Trung Industrial Park).

Bac Giang has more than 240,000 workers working in 6 industrial parks in the province.
