In December, actress Hong Anh’s company introduced to the audience the documentary Ms. Phung’s Last Trip (see show schedule: here)

This movie was filmed in 2009 and completed in 2014.

The first time Hong Anh saw the movie was in June when it was shown at Hoa Sen University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The movie `Ms. Phung’s Last Trip` is considered to be realistic and profound footage about the lives of transgender people in the lottery group.

The actress said that she encountered many difficulties while preparing for the film’s release.

Hong Anh shared that, from the perspective of an audience enjoying the film, she was touched by the profound depiction of transgender life.

Belonging to the documentary genre, Nguyen Thi Tham’s work was praised by the audience as being as attractive and lively as a feature film.

Nguyen Thi Tham spent more than a year following a group of transgender people traveling across different regions.

The female director made the film in a direct documentary style.

Nguyen Thi Tham was born in 1984. She studied at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema, a documentary filmmaking class of Varan – French experts in Vietnam.

Previously, when working on Ms. Phung’s Last Trip, Nguyen Thi Tham approached Hong Anh’s company to sponsor the film.

However, with the young female director’s enthusiasm for filmmaking, Hong Anh asked Nguyen Thi Tham to make the short film Xe motorbike, which is part of her 89,600 km+… project.
